I found this article about a new work of art in Penn station to be extremely moving. When I was working in NYC this summer, I commuted in and out of Penn station and will never forget the day when I was complaining on the phone (somewhat drastically after a hard day at work) to my father about how it was one of the worst places I could imagine in the world when he told me about what Penn Station used to be. I feel this work of art captures that sadness of the loss of what now would be a gem of NYC while simultaneously meshing well with its contemporary context
