12/9- Bye, bye banana! (where is the Bluth family)

Someone ate the banana! I have an odd relationship with performance art- I know it stems from my own misunderstanding but I’ve read some weird things that come back to violence and it always manages to skeeve me out. The banana was initially funny to me because I thought of the Bluth family banana stand and I have an odd respect for absurdity. From an art perspective, my real question comes in with the idea of just… replacing the banana. Where and how do we assign value? Does replacing the banana undermine the importance of the banana? What is disposable? What is the art in art? Many questions and I might go find a banana because I am hungry!
