When looking for inspirations on depicting horizons for our invisible cities project, I stumbled upon this painting of a horizon. I found the concept very evocative in its segmentation of perspective and establishment of connection through the continuous horizon line. I also liked how this artist decomposed the elements of the painting with the color swatches on the left slide of the work along with the boarders surrounding the landscape. The decision to highlight presumably different moments in time in a changing landscape gives this work an ability to convey change over time and movement in a static form.
