RICHARD SERRA | THE EXPERIENCE OF ART

I stumbled upon this video whilst seeking inspiration on how to translate my abstraction of sound into visual form. I found it quite insightful to hear that artists create their own personalized strategies to conceive new visual forms and develop fresh perspectives on their work. The artist featured in this video is Richard Serra who is a renowned artist in the abstract minimalism and process art space. He is known for greatly stressing the importance of holistic immersion in art. As such he aims to produce work whose substance is birthed from its tactility and minimalism.
