Response: David Lynch
I am in fact a Twin Peaks fan- my first formal introduction was mid high school, but my more realistic introduction was probably every tween-targeted murder show I watched in middle school (and still watch now). There are an alarming number of said shows, and they started my addictive behaviors (golden age of television??).
Separately, I love when I'm reminded of David Lynch. The reminders are always sure to surprise me, whether in the form of a 2016 revival, or his festival of disruption. I heard about disruption in 2017- via a Dazed article.
Conceptually, Disruption is just... comical, but also enjoyable and appealing in practice. I hope everyone checks it out- I've attached a clip from one performance at the festival- in every way it summarizes the aesthetic I wanted to curate when I was 14.
